Bone China Giclée Print on Archival Paper 22" x 22" Edition of 50 Signed by Laurie Lipton 2013
This limited edition is based on the original 2009 charcoal & pencil on paper. Release Date: December 14, 2013 Here is a picture of an elderly lady surrounded by chattering skeletons. Everything is decaying, except for the Twinkies and cupcakes on the table (which are made up of non biodegradable synthetic chemicals). This is not a morbid English tea fantasy, but an encroaching reality. I'm getting older--& the number of dead I know is growing exponentially. - Laurie Lipton

Fans of the late, great Stanislav Szukalski may recognize the detail image of Flower of Dreams shown at right. Drawings by Szukalski prior to 1923 exhibit an Art Nouveau style and are heavily saturated with literary meaning.
The bubble of blood in the blossom is a trans-birth of his (an idealist's) hapless love.
